Who we are
Youth With A Focus Teso (YWAFT) is a community-based organisation founded by volunteers in Soroti in 2014. We support communities to address the barriers facing girls, women and young people and to build safer, healthier and more economically secure futures.
Our work connects girls' education and protection with sustainable agriculture, women's economic empowerment, climate resilience, food security, water and sanitation, and inclusive community leadership.

Community enterprise
Turning practical learning into productive, climate-resilient livelihoods.
The demonstration farm is YWAFT's community agribusiness and social-enterprise initiative. It supports practical farmer learning while developing sustainable production in pineapples, coffee, fruits and vegetables.
How we work
Our role is to listen, convene, strengthen skills and help communities turn local potential into measurable progress.
People participate in identifying needs, designing responses and sustaining results.
We prioritise vulnerable girls, women and young people while engaging families and leaders.
Baseline information, monitoring and community feedback guide programme decisions.
Skills, local ownership and viable livelihoods continue creating value beyond a project cycle.
